Sweet Sensation (Info Remix) by Satoshi Fumi on Klik Records
This track is part of a compilation of remixes, called "Life On Remix vol2" and features a mixture of housey end eclectic remixes. A collection of down tempo tracks with a high emotional factor, influenced by a lot of different styles and genres; reggae, pop, 80's to name a few.
Back to the Satoshi Fumi track then. It's got a soulful groove, created by the gentle guitar and string floating through the entire track. A little synth melody keeps it alive and breathing, as well as the bass pad sound; which is a good thing for the overall atmosphere. The sexy voice talking about "sweet sensation" is an essential element for this mix as this vocal hook definitely adds up to the value of this nice remix by Info.
One of the better tracks on this "Life On Remix 2" compilation.
Satoshi Fumi isn't a stranger to me as I have been fond of his productions for quite some time now. They are always filled with nice sounds and emotional vibes. His work is appreciated by some of the better labels on the scene.

Within Your Soul by Ross Couch on Body Rhythm Records
This track is part of the new album by Mr. Ross couch and is one of the more soulful, if not the most soulful, track on this album "Night and Day". Soulful but with a tight rhythm and uplifting groove. Two characteristics for Mr. Couch's music.
On the album he goes from this soulful tune to uplifting party tracks like "Last One Home". Taking the time to drop in some atmospheric master pieces like the "All At Sea" tune. If there's one thing this track doesn't miss out on it's atmosphere. An element providing this oh so important factor is the violin which stays in the background but is so present in the track.
Subtle string sounds going along with it make the track complete. Their presence is hardly notable but they are there and they're presence is extremely important for the paradise-feel this track is creating.
A dreamy female vocal tops it off, making this track a must have for all beach bar DJs this summer.
I recommend listening to to the other tracks of this album "Night and Day" too. Chance is, if you like this one, you'll find some other tracks that will suit your taste.

One Note Samba by Slam on Paragraph
Yeah, a review on a track by Slam? Do they still need their music reviewed? That was the thought coming in my mind the moment I used one of my tokens. But hey.. the harm is done, so here it goes.
Slam takes a kinda minimal approach on a samba rhythm but manages to keep it alive and breathing by adding the right vocal stabs on the right moments. Let's not forget the groove which "slams" liveliness from your speakers into your living room or dance floor. A rather complex rhythm but with a high I"m-gonna-make-you-move" factor.
Though the other track on this release "Room 2" will get more attention in the shops, I believe this one is certainly worth mentioning too. The rhythm seems to be monotonous but it's filled with little hooks and sonic variations. Slam manages to use the present hypes and trends in production to create music you can only expect from seasoned musicians. Their work is a show off of a sonic richness and subtle effect tweaks on the right moments, this is what makes their music stand out when played in a set.
They should be and probably are an example to a whole generation of (up)coming bedroom producers like myself and who are dying to get their music out there. Hats off for Slam!

Gone too Far by Karol XVII & MB Valence feat Robert Owens on Loco Records
Karol XVII is a project on Loco Records, a label who's artists transform their nightly (or daily) experiences into music-making processes. The label based in Poland can look back on quite a few collaborations with some of the bigger dance music providers who established firm reputations on the scene such as Peppermint Jam Records, Look At You, 23 Deep East,...
For this release they have teamed up with one of the major vocalists when it comes down to house music. It's a story about a guy who's disappointed in a friend. The groove bubbles smooth under the voice and makes this track a perfect example of what the origins of house music are all about; namely emotion and soul brought in a creative fantasy like manner.
Another mix of this track which can not be overlooked, was done by Milton Jackson, who delivers a more tech rhythm oriented track but with respect to the original soulful atmosphere. His mix will be appreciated by the more dance floor oriented DJ's as the original will be tasted by the easy beats and lounge bar DJ's.
Pay attention when listening to this track as there are some unusual hooks around which won't escape your attention. A fine release on Loco Records.

Beatitude (Part I) by Marc Poppcke on MoonPool
Moonpool is a relatively new label, it was founded in 2008 and this is the fourth release. The label is managed by Marc Poppcke and Alex Niggemann. The Berlin based Marc Poppcke delivers a subtle house track with a soulful groove and interesting soundscapes. He makes use of elements which you don't hear every day in this kind of music.
He also shows us his creative skills in the way the drums and percussion are programmed. Sounds blended together in such a masterful way, giving you the impression the project was co-ordinated by a musical architect. Though the track sounds complete from the start, Mr. Poppcke succeeds in putting in little tweaks or effects which add cool vibrations to it.
Speaking of the artist, it seems that his talent doesn't stay unnoticed as he has done a release on Darkroom Dubs and a remix for Silicone Soul on Soma in the past few months.

The Harmony by DJ Hypnosis on Mo'Funk Records
Dj Hypnosis brings us an addictive vibe with a warm jazzy base line and a groove which has the stamp "cosiness" written all over it.Just give it a listen and you'll understand why it's called The Harmony.
Lounge bars, radio's and restaurants fond of this kind of music, shouldn't hesitate on this one. Your audience will love you for it. It's the kind of track you can put on and let it repeat for at least a couple of times. It will be an add to the overall atmosphere every time it's subtle percussion announces it's beginning all over again.
It's the kind of track that makes you drift away and puts a bubble around you where there's nothing but quiet, calm .. and this delightful music ofcourse.
Oh, one advice I would like to give you; don't put it on when it's nearly closing time cause your last customers will give you a hard time.

Route by Uncou on Subton Minsk
Here's a soul techno track with a catchy, repetitive melody with a slow build up. It especially caught my attention as the track's arrangement gets more emotional as it evolves from a rather monotonous tune into an emotional and kinda mysterious, spacey sound scape.
This atmosphere only gets stronger by the vocal sample brought in after about 3.30 minutes. The sample adds an extra dimension to the track as it fits perfect in the mysterious sonic mood. The groove stays present through out the entire track but it stays fresh as there are a lot of elements/instruments/sounds floating in and out.
This is a good thing as they keep the track alive from start to end.Nice work of Uncou.

The Soul PtII by Craig Smith & The Revenge on Delusions Of Grandeur
A monotonous and repetitive track which takes you by the soul from the start with it's hypnotising and soft rhythm. A voice telling you to get "deep down" leaving the rest to make up to you in your own interpretation.
Monotonous and repetitive but yet soulful and pleasant. Deep down in your soul and that's what these sounds do, they go deep down in your mind and soul. Deep house with a positive "black magic" twist. The kind of track that keeps hanging in your head and no way to describe why. It just does.
A track like this works, why? Listen and find out.

U know 2 by Coffee Colour's on Vecor M Digital
A funky groove, a sensual and hypnotic voice and an infectious rhythm are the ingredients this hip-swinging track takes off with. The base line makes the track stronger and doubles the hip-swinging effect. The melody showing up after 2.40 minutes for the first time pushes the track onto the level of euphoria.
From the start this track rouses a feeling of euphoria in your stomach which only becomes stronger when the melody shows up. A rhythm like this is able to take on a dance floor and to make it move as a unity. Drowning the crowd in a whelm of euphoria and lifting the party up.
Tracks like this one are the ones that belong in the crates of DJ's who like to keep it funky and treat their crowds on sensual and quality party house music.

Historia Del Mar by Norberto Fornerino on CE Records
This track has written it's ocean influence all over it. Smooth like an ocean breeze at dawn or sunset, a groove making you long for those summer nights where you can dance with your feet in the sand and a cocktail in the hand; accompanied by the waves which you can actually here on certain parts of the track.
A well produced deep house gem getting it's nice and restful atmosphere of the flute which makes this track sound complete.
This is only the debut ep of the Venezualan DJ/Producer Norberto Fornerino on EC Records but the ep is more then just an introduction. I would even dare to say this could become a future classic?
Historia Del Mar is for the real deep house heads while Armonia En Mi Mente will please the progreesive house fans.
The overall sound structure is friendly though. Deep house fans shouldn't pass on this one.

Facteur Cheval by G-Spot Love Star on Deepdown
A deep house rhythm flavoured by many different instruments and influences from many different angles. All put together in a skillful way by G-Spot Love Star. The track is build up on the slight nervous base line and dito percussion which make the track a vibrating and energetic tune, residing in the mysterious and dreamy areas of the better deep house sound.
Mysterious and dreamy effects provided by the bells and sharp string like effects. You add a pitched-up vocal to these already rather twisted sound scapes and the result is this practically unique track, a fusion of deep house and progressive house with the emphasis on deep house.
A track like this sets up an atmosphere in a club which will bring your crowd in a positive and hypnotising endless circle. Next day, they will wake up and won't still be able to get what has happened to them.
I recommend to listen to the other tracks released this week by G-Spot Love Star as they are in the same atmosphere. And no, it doesn't get boring. The groove is strong in each and every one of them and oooh so infectious. Be warned...

Relax your mind (Ian Pooleys Dub) by Blank & Jones on Soundcolours
A sweet voice telling you to relax your mind, subtle beats and higly amusing sounds floating in and through the track; that's what this track is about in a note shell. Mr Pooley knows how to produce an emotional track and how to make it reside in the upper regions of excellent deep house. It starts off dry and with only the elements necessary to grab the listener's attention.
The track gets into shape after 1.40 mn and opens up some gentle and timeless sound scapes. The use of different high hats which get sharper every now and then, keep the track fresh and alive; as well as the arpegiating melody which takes the foreground at well chosen time intervals.
A production to be jealous of, if you ask me. This will be a sure hitter in the overall we-love-deep-house scene.

Eartquake by Mickey K on Deep Nota Records
Deep Nota goes deep into your veins and bones with this one. The frequency the song builds one is sharp and smooth at the same time. It cuts into your mind making you listen, willing or not.
The bell sequence coming in after 2.30 mn just adds a magical value to the song and takes it up, keeping you in its sonic grip. the hypnotising groove is the backbone for this track but every sound that gets associated with it as the song progresses, makes the track more complete. A trumpet like and fresh sequence is extremely notable here and that's what makes this track stands out in its genre.
Don't forget to check out the other track "in & out" on this release. Fine stuff from Deep Nota!

In & Out by Mickey K on Deep Nota Records
Mickey K goes in a slighter tougher direction with this song.
By slighty tougher I mean the rhythm which is more uplifting and with its conga and bongo signature a more to the floor oriented track. The rhythm gets strong support by an infectious and tight base line.
Laid over or should Ii say, melted in this solid groove are the other instruments such as flutes and voice which turn this track into a harmonious and well sounding song. The flavour added by the flutes and the base line provide the track with an unusual but amusing and spiritual tension.
A show off of Mr. K's production skills? :)

Ascetic Meditation by CJ Art on Deepsessions Recordings
Progressive house with an emotional feel and a large spiritual hook. This kind of tracks are amongst my favourite. When you get your crowd to follow in this kind of track you really are the priest of the temple. You, the DJ, get to lead your crowd and take them on a spiritual voyage where only you call the shots.
No not really you but you lead the crowd onto a level where there is no other force then the spiritual one predicted by this hypnotising beat and where the flute drags you along on its swearing melody. Tracks like this create an atmosphere where there are no differences between classes, there is only one law and that's to accept the spiritual journey the bells, which come in after 1.30min., are inviting you to.
CJ Art understands the skill of creating spiritual beats in its purest form. Every sound is unquestionable in its place and makes this track one of the most remarkable ones I've heard lately. Don't forget to check out Anchorite, the other track on this ep.
Deepsessions Recordings has a firm release with this one.

Masterful shaped soundscapes by Mr. Yost who leads us into a twilight zone with dreamy and sensual vocals, surrounded by mesmerizing tech sounds. Emotional feelings and funky rhythms with a deep base line will make sure you won't leave the floor.

Born Again (Joseph Moody Deep House Remix) by Relate4ever on The Remix Label
This track is part of the album "Intimate Jazz House". Jazz it sure is and intimate fits right in the description. What strikes me here is the rhythm which adds the dancefloor sauce to the track. Well built percussion patterns and some sounds which form the hip shaking groove. The keys are the elements which bring in the jazz mood (hence the name of the remixer Joseph Moody). Keys played on a cosy and smooth frequency like it should be. Intimacy is the keyword here.
Like the other tracks in this album, it is best suitable for bars and hip venues which are known to be party starters and for those early birds who like to call it a night after their dose of quality vibes like this one. I find it hard to call it a night after listening to this music. It warms you up and gives you the intention the world is a cosy place and the night will only become more intimate the longer it continues. tracks like this one never get on your nerves.
Hit that repeat button and listen to it for a couple of hours or purchase the whole album. The Remix Label goes on and on, Mr.Paduraru's box never gets empty.

The 40th night by Monokeen on 2eqRecords
2eq Records which is a rather new label from Germany comes up with this vibrating, nasty and brain burning threatening dancefloor anthem. The track is produced by label owner DJ Rocka who forms Monokeen together with Gemio Christiano.
This release is part of the first album by Monokeen. After listening to the album, i must say that this track is by far one of the best tracks on it. This track is destined to be played in the better tech or techno clubs, the synth stab is the most crucial element which will raise hands and lift the temperature and make those bodies a little more sweaty. A tight production with a tough edge but emotional at the same time as the voice takes care of that area. Well done but that doesn't surprise me as the German artists behind Monokeen are in the scene for about 15 years. Starting their own label seems the logical continuation to their activities. You should check out the album as well. It's not top but good enough to start with. Two of my favorites on the album are Electric sound and definitely red seas. Black Magic Pearl by Filin Brake & David Maranello (Dj Tekin Remix) on DasLeihhausDigComp
A funky guitar base line track with a strong vocal about the love for a black woman named Black Magic Pearl. For me the track really comes alive when the keys are floating in and brighen up the musical spectrum in this track.
The keys only are the intro to some other instrumentation that really open up the track and turn it into a funky hipswinger. This track can be played for a wide range of audiences. From young funky house lovers (or generations, if it's still appropriate to talk in such a manner nowadays with all the different styles around) to generations in their forties who stil remember disco.
This is music that isn't hard to digest, it's all about fun and having a good time and isn't that what we are all looking for?
The not unknown DJ Tekin, who's on the list of the famous Mona Renalls Agency, does a good job here with the remix.

Natural Chill by System 4 on Feiyr Records
Natural chill is well chosen as a title here as that's wht this track will do to you. You will ne naturally chilling after having listened to this track. The keys are nothing new but it's the higher synth sound that caught my attention. They succeed in programming the synth soundon such a frequency that it's not disturbing the peaceful vibe here. It only adds up to the chill atmosphere.
At the beginning of the track it comes in cautiously as if the artist wants to give you the opportunity to become used to his intentions, adding an extra dimension with that strange arpegiating synth sound. Another element that puts this track onto another level are the water bubbles bubbling up. That's the most close designation I can give to it. When you listen to the track it will get clear what I'm trying to put in words.
Fans of this kind of music should check out the album this track can be found on, Café Ibiza. Are you in a healthy finacial situation? Then go ahaed. Otherwise don't!! You don't have to take my advice but it will hurt..I warned you. Café Ibiza is a great album filled with superb chill tracks. Hard to resist.

If you want (David Kassi Deep House Remix) by 1st Class on The Remix Label
David Kassi who released tracks on a dozen labels and remixed tracks for numerous artists, comes up with this sleazy and melodious nasty remix of one of the many tracks of Christian Paduraru. Thought the atmosphere is on the slight threatening gray side, the beats sound fresh and that's what keeps this track in balance.
Well done by Mr. Kassi who shows us here his splendid producer skills. The quality of his sounds is on the higher level as is the whole package this remix is made of. Here and there there are some proggy influenced sounds which place the track in between deep and progressive house. The spirit remains deep house however.
Enjoyable and quality music for the moderate deep house DJ and enthusiast.

El Vaquero (Dos Mix ) by Soto - Dru Tiz - Hev on iMusic Underground Records
I can't deny the fact this label is becoming one of my favourites, it's my third review on a track they release. Check the Beats Digital Blog for my other reviews on iMusic Underground Records.
This track is by far one of the best they released. Sounds and keys which reside in he spiritual territory. A grumbling base line with a frequency hypnotizing you instantly and making you feel extra ordinary. The base line gets company of some ethnic sounds and percussion elements which put the emphasis on the spirtual feel in the song. The keys coming in at about 2.00 minutes just make this feeling stronger and take you further on this spiritual journey.
Maybe the only thing missing is the voice of some indian preacher murmuring a prayer nobody understands. An idea for a remix? A must have for all the spiritualists out there. Put it in repeat and there's no more need to go to meditation.

Cruise Control by Sunburnt Octopus on Cariaca Deep
This track starts with a kinda industrial feel but fear not, that's only the beginning of it. It seems Greek producers are taking over. A lot of Greek tracks come our way these days and I must say , I don't regret it. Warm sounding, true house feel and an optimistic overall feel seems to be there trademark; so is this track.
A warm string, maybe the melody could be more worked on but that's just me thinking out loud. An emotional fusion of deep and tech house elements, though the base line seems rather clubby. It's just all put together in a masterful way and all these elements have the right place in the song. A big surplus is the melodic variation here.
A bright atmospheric and emotional song which will find it's ways to the bars and beaches this summer.

Groove On by JacK Dat on Delight Digital
Groove on and keep the groove going, that's what this relaxing track is all about. It's a pleasure for your ears as the smooth trumpet stabs will slide in your body like sweet honey. Your mind and soul say thank you for the healthy dose of silk piano melodies and atmospherique voices surrounding the base guitar which keeps the groove ... going on.
This music takes your mind to a higher level, all you have to do is sit back in your favourite chair or bar and let it come to you. After some time, you'll catch yourself with a smile on your face.
Great material for cosy evenings at home or a hip, loungy bar where you get treated like a king and the drinks are over priced. But to get spoiled with music like this, it doesn't come for free. Do you Jack it?

A feel good disco influenced but good produced song. I like tracks telling about paradise because that's where we all want to be, no? Well, listen to this track and you'll get a whole lot closer to reaching it.
Intelligent programming of the instruments gives the vocal enough space to come fully to its potential, to stand out and give the track its emotional feel.Together with the amusing and confident base line, it makes this track suitable for all kinds of audiences. Audiences that are thankful and know when they are being spoiled with the best music around.

Scotch On The Rocks by Ross Couch on Body Rhythm Records
A wobbling and funky base line accompanied with gentle keys and the groove is set for this moody and amusing jazzy influenced track. The production is top notch, every sound has been worked on and is clean and a symphonic pleasure for the ears.
A well build rhythm with clear high hats keeps the groove goin and once the jazzy keys arrive, the song only becomes stronger. I can feel the thrill on the dance floor when those keys arrive, pushing the temperature a few degrees up and keeping the real shakers on their dancing feet. Especially the piano riff is an element that keeps the thrill in the song.
There's a intelligent change in the different parts of the track which preserve the song of disappearing in a monotonous "heard-it-before". Mr. Ross Couch once again puts together a fresh song, showing off his skills as producer. Splendid track for his Body Rhythm Records.

My Salvation (Nalins Tribute To Maze Mix) by Bush II Bush feat C.R.Jones on Caballero Records
I wouldn't classify this track under Deep House as it will be only a matter of days for this track to arrive in the playlists of the hip radio stations, especially this version. There's a more club oriented version of it available, the Gregor Wagners Club Mix which adds some infectious keys to it. Or the Jesse Garcia mix which is lightly electro influenced.
This version also deserves to be played in the clubs be it on another time then Gregor Wagners version which is more a peak time version. The magical voice of Chelonis R.Jones takes this track to a level hard to compete with. Subtle sounds, a smooth and babbling rhythm + the vocal of Mr. Jones make this an emotional and striking track.

Guardian angel by Tobias Baumgart on Chocolat Soul Records
The Berlin based Tobias Baumgart brings us a track filled with different sound scapes but blended together with the ear and mind of an experienced producer. And that's a compliment giving the guy's young age. This track is part of his "Leave the world behind ep", I wouldn't say that if you release an ep like this one.
I would say an ep like this does put you on the map.
The ep has a variety of styles going from funky house to jazzy and moody to this more dance floor oriented "Guardian Angel" which is an atmospheric and melodic juicy track with a strong base line which will come to its full advantage when played on a decent soundsystem. Certainly suited for the months that lie ahead; warm summer(nights).
The Spanish Chocolat Soul Records has done a good job with taking this ep under their belt. It feels like this ep was written for Chocolat Soul, it's sweet like chocolat and it has soul. For those among us who like it more laidback, I urge you to listen to the sublime "Penthouse" and the jazzy influenced sexy "inside".
